The Story Of The Car Bombs
The Car Bombs are thrash/punk from El Paso,Texas. The band has been keepin it alive since 'o5! A nightmare that became a kick ass reality. In October 2005 a friend of Brewzer's asked him to play a show. Brewzer agreed and had one week to get a band together for the show. Freshly back from the Army, Brewzer asked Morbital to jam. The duo had previously worked together in the black metal band Sangre. Big Mike was added on bass and Yogi from Enemy 13 on vocals.
In 4 days time, the newly formed beast of a creation had penned 10 now notorious songs. On day 5, the band performed and it was quite a sight to see. The band was put on hold for years, while German finished out his military service. During that time Brewzer and Big Mike played in several other bands.
Out of tragedy, a rebirth of The Car Bombs. In 2012 Brewzer's nephew passed away while overseas. This was the catalyst for the reformation of The Car Bombs. The bands first show back was a tribute show in honor of Brewzer's fallen nephew. Due to unforseen events, the band found themselves needing a new singer after only one show.
In came Kris with a K. Kris and Brewzer grew up in the same circle of friends. Kris had been in other bands before but had long ago left the scene. Brewzer was able to talk Kris into joining up with the band. The negotiations were fierce.... they were basically: Brewezer: "Just do it. Don't be a bitch." Kris: "Ok".
For Halloween 2012, The Car Bombs did a Misfits covers set. The crowd reaction was outrageous. The show was one that would have made the original Misfits proud. Everyone present could feel that the band had something deeper going on. Coming off the high of the Halloween Cover show, the perfect blend was out for blood.
Suddenly, the future of the band was put in danger. Due to life's struggles, Big Mike and the band had to part ways. With Big Mike's departure the band searched for a new bassist. Many asked to be considered but the band knew they had to find someone that shared the vision of the band. They wanted a brother not just a band mate.
Aldo San Diego saves the day. From the first practice with the band Aldo clicked with the band. He came to the band without ever being in a band before. He picked up on the songs very quick and made them his own with his flares and style. A testament to his skill is the fact that he learned all the songs in three days, then played his first show.
The new beast was unleashed at The Launchpad in Albq, NM. The band has since been on a non stop high speed assault. They have written brand new songs, begun work on an E.P., produced a limited run T-Short that sold out almost instantly. They have played the launchpad twice and have also played many shows in El Paso.
The Car Bombs wont be stopped! The band attacks with a Thrash/Punk/Hardcore mix that cant be resisted. The band still plays old favorites like Air Raid and Dead By Night while also playing new material like Heisenburg and Chainsaw. This band won't let you down! We aren't fake, no bull shit just thrash the way it should be! Tell your friends, family, EVERYONE! Please spread the word!
We're back jack!!!!
