hello bomb squad! we (the car bombs) hoped you guys enjoyed your holidays! so far we have a new start into the 2014. playing in "querque" New Mexico on the first month of the year, so that isn't so bad! a lot of plans and thoughts of a U.S. tour across the southwest is in the works, including new merch coming up and more video shenanigans in our youtube channel for you all. give us some feedback as of what city you would like us to play to have a general idea where to book our shows this summer (CA, AZ, NM, TX and possibly NV). till then, NUKE PUNK 4 LIFE!
hey bomb squad! a couple of months has passed and alot has been going on lately with the car bombs. an unfortunate event took place and Kar bomb Kris had to step down as lead singer, due to personal reasons. even though kriss had to drop his presence will be missed to us dearly. Since then Bruiser took over the lead vocals and we all are back in course and are "business as usual" booking shows with locals as well as bands from out of town touring the states. a recent show we had with our good friends the"ballistic Batz" hailing from New Mexico tore it up at the Oct. 25 show and will possibly play with these guys on their home turf so it will be a short tour weekend in the depths of NM. Stay tuned for more updates, info and current events going on in the world of the car bombs.
Well it sure is nice to see you all again.
I thought it has been a while since you have heard from us, so its time for an update.
We got some cool shows coming up!
We have a Misfits themed show on Saturday 9/7/13. Every band on the line up is playing at least one Misfits song. This should be a blast!
Then the following Friday, 9/13/13, we have a Friday The 13th show. Que spooky, no? That line up is pretty fucking sick too.
After that on Thursday 9/26/13, The Alumni Lounge hosts 2 bands from Austin. Destructive Guerilla Force & Shitty Advice are on their "From Bat City to Bat Country" tour and we have the honor of sharing a stage with them that night.
We will have more news about shows coming up soon.
These next few shows are truly shows you shouldn't miss. We will be debut some new songs and putting some older ones back on the shelf for a while.
So come out and party with us!
This could be the last time you hear you favorite song or it could be the first time.
What the fuck is up Bomb Squad?!??!?!
Well we are heading into that time of year that just seems to be our busiest time of the year!
We got big news coming up soon.
Lots of ways for you to see us!
As always, you can get our show info on the main page!
I dont really want to spill too much information on whats coming up so instead I am going to go listen to some Misfits songs and read some comics.
Big things are on their way. I can feel it coming!
Well 2013 is half way done and its been one hell of a year for The Car Bombs.
I decided to write a kind of year in review for The Car Bombs 2013. In the past six months, Big Mike dropped from the band and Aldo San Diego joined up. We played The Launchpad in Duke City (ABQ, NM). This was Aldo's first show with the band and very special for me. The Launchpad has steadily and for a long time, booked some of the best shows in the region. I had always wanted to go to a show there. The very first time I went there, I played it. Not only was it Aldo's first show with the band, it was his first show ever. He fucking killed it though. A testament to how good the show was, we were invited back to play the annual St Punktrix Day show. From there we have played several venues around El Paso. We've played The War Room, Paulina's Badlands, Bombardiers, The Tequila Garage, and Rockhouse at The Cockpit. We've been invited back to all of those venues. We've played the War Room twice and Badlands 3 times. We have a 2 returning shows later this month at Bombardiers and Rockhouse, and are working on a show in August at the tequila Garage. We are also working on getting back up to Duke City for the 3rd time this year. I know I cant go long with out some Rebel Donuts. It feels good to be asked back to play these venues. It means we are doing something right and people are believing in us.
This year we also released our limited run Chainsaw shirt. We made the shirt availible for the first time on our second trip back up to Albuquerque. I remember when we started playing there was this young punker girl watching us play and she was getting into it. Three songs into the set I remember her nodding her head and going straight to the merch table and bought the very first shirt. The shirts were available for only 20 minutes before the first one was sold. That's pretty fucking rad.
We also started a ton of websites, one of which you are on. We have a Twitter, Facebook, this page, SoundCloud, ReverbNation, and a YouTube. We have grown quite a group of fans. The people that are into us and our music are really awesome people and we have had a drink with damn near all of them. We love the Bomb Squad. Without its members, we are nothing. You guys and gals buy our merch, listen to our music, follow our pages, and go to our shows. Thank you!
We have also been working on the E.P. We have a ton of stuff to put on it, dont be surprised if it turns into a full length album. The new material is fucking brutal and fast and lethal. We are all very excited about it. We have been keeping the video camera close by too, so you will get to see the behind the scenes shit.
The first half of the year has been amazing and so far the second half is shaping up to be just as great. I really am grateful for all the support you guys have shown us. I know the rest of the guys feel the same too. Stay tuned for news on upcoming shows and more news about how the recording is going.

The end of June is shaping up to be a busy time for The Car Bombs.
We are ending the month with shows at Bombardiers, the new location of The War Room, The Tequila Garage, and a special benefit show at The Cockpit. Keep an eye on the main page for all upcoming shows.
We are also working on the EP. It is very close to being completed. We are liking what we are hearing so far and think you will too.
